As a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting the Burke County Animal Services Center, we focus on three key areas in order to support the welfare of companion animals within Burke County.

We work to educate pet owners on the responsiblities of good ownership. This covers advice on proper dog training, safety tips for outdoor pets and travel plans, the importance of spaying and neutering, as well as tips on how to be prepared in case of an emergency. By educating pet owners on responsible ownership, we increase the chances of pets and owners staying together, thus reducing the amount of homeless animals in our community.

We believe that reducing euthanasia begins with pet owner education. As a volunteer organization, we support the Burke County Animal Services in reducing unnecessary euthanasia by:
Facilitating low-cost spay/neuter programs
Providing ample adoption and foster opportunities
Encouraging responsible pet ownership
Developing innovative strategies for keeping people and their companion animals together.
